Dr. Craig M. Nishimoto

Dr. Nishimoto is the owner of the Paradise Animal Clinic. He received his training at Washington State University and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Bacteriology and Public Health along with another Bachelors Degree in Veterinary Science. In 1984, Dr. Nishimoto obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He opened his private practice in 1989 at Rainbow Plaza and has been there ever since. He is a Past-President of the Hawaii Veterinary Medical Association and Past-Chairman of the Hawaii Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. Dr. Nishimoto is also a long time Rotarian and is currently the President of the Rotary Club of Poipu Beach. He is also a past-member of the Board of Directors for the Kauai Humane Society.

Dr Nishimoto lives with his wife, Annette, and two children, Christine and Matthew, in Hanapepe. The Nishimoto's have a Terrier named Thunderbolt, two cats-Dreamy and Shiro, a Mejiro bird named Cole and a pet rat named Cutie. He enjoys travelling to far away places and is a long-time surfer who likes all types of ocean sports.


Dr. Deborah Day, Diplomate ACVIM

The Paradise Animal Clinic proudly welcomes Dr. Day to our practice family.  Dr. Day is a board certified veterinary internal medicine specialist.  We are very fortunate to have her and her advanced training as part of our practice.

Dr. Day is a native of Missouri and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from  The Ohio State University.  She completed internships and residencies in Massachusetts and Ohio.  Most recently she was co-founder  of Louisville Veterinary Specialties and Emergency Services in Louisville, Kentucky.


Dr. Day enjoys gardening and practicing the culinary arts in her spare time.



Peggy Redden-Canon

Peggy Redden-Canon is our clinic supervisor. She has been with the Paradise Animal Clinic since 1998. Peggy was born and raised on Oahu and had called Kauai her home since 1990.

Peggy's favorites at the office are being on the recieving end of "Puppy Breath and Doggie Kisses".

Peggy is married to her husband, Danny Canon, and has two beautiful daughters-Ashley and Danielle. She has two Shitzu-cross dogs, Bailey and Guiness, and a Golden Retriever named Chance. In her spare time, Peggy enjoys golf and doing things with her daughters.

Deanna Jimenez

Deanna has been a veterinary assistant at the Paradise Animal Clinic since 2002. Her favorite parts of the practice are working with the puppies and kittens as well as helping and watching pets in the hospital get better. She enjoys going to the beach spending time with her husband and daughter.  Deanna says "Thanks for checking out our web site and she hope to see all of you soon!"



Noe DelaCruz


Noe joined the Paradise Animal Clinic team in June 2006.  She enjoys all types of animals and especially likes working in the laboratory portion of the practice. 


Noe has 3 dogs, Lani, Koko, and Pele, a cat named Snowflake, and two birds named Tweetie and toto.  During her free time, she likes going to the beach, riding street bikes and cruising with her friends.



Catherine Sullivan
Aloha Catherine! Catherine is spreading her wings and departing for the mainland US during the fall of 2007. We will miss her smile and caring personality here at the Paradise Animal Clinic. The staff and clientele wish Cathy the best of luck in her future endeavors.

 


Ashley Rapozo

Ashley has been a member of our health care team since 2004. She enjoys taking care of the clinic's animal patients and going out and exploring the island on horse farm calls. Ashley and her family are dog lovers and have five of them: Tia, Buddy, Kula, Nemo, and Brindle. She also has a pet rabbit named Bugsy. Ashley enjoys cruising and going to the beach on her free time.

Shayna Moore

Upon joining our practice in 2004, Shayna has thoroughly enjoyed helping pet owners and their animals as well as performing the numerous laboratory tests in our practice. Shayna's family has six dogs named Whistle, Piko, Hurley, Pluto, Roxy and Mika.  She also has cats named Mobley and Little Kitty.

Shayna enjoys her free time by going to the beach, fishing and working on her tan. She also loves spending time with her animals and her family.


Rose Terwilliger

Rose joined our Paradise Animal Clinic team in October of 2005.  Rose likes all kinds of animals but her favorites are large dogs.  She enjoys the challenge of collecting blood samples from all kinds of patients.
 

Rose and husband Derek, are proud parents of Alexis Hope Ogihara.  She was born on December 13, 2006.  Rose also has three dogs, Cleo, Snow and Shep,  a cat named Mary, and a chicken named Mr. Rooster.

On her free time, Rose likes to go to the beach and spending time with her family.
